Ayurveda Self-love day Sunday Aug 18

A precious nourishing day of yoga and ayurveda that promises to reduce stress, increase happiness, strengthen immunity, replenish energy, reset self-worth, evolve our capacity for self-love, help to rebalance our doshas, enhance winter wellbeing and nurture body, mind and inner spirit as we connect with kindred spirits.


In Ayurveda, nourishing, recharging and rejuvenating ourselves, is called rasayana. 

It’s a gift of self-love, honouring our own happiness and recognising we deserve it!


Looking after our own health with self-care and self-nurture are the keys to self-love. 

Self-love is the regular practice of offering ourselves precious gifts that nourish and refresh us, right to our core. 


This is not about indulgence, it’s more about insurance: investing effort into our own wellbeing so that we can be here and effective, for ourselves and others, for a long time. It’s about taking time to love ourselves.

Experience the magnifying power of being with a conscious community as we create a sacred space—a ‘Dru bubble’—within our homes. A space of love, truth and connection with Self and others, without leaving home.


On our self-love day we will draw on the five drayas, Ayurveda’s five healing pathways—diet, herbs, therapies, yogic practices and lifestyle—and envelop you in a rich nurturing experience. 

We’ll spend the day honouring our body as a temple. We’ll enjoy spacious pauses, luxurious deep stretches, gentle heart-opening yoga, nurturing ayurvedic self-therapy, restorative marma relaxation, healing rejuvenating breathwork and sound-based meditation.


With laughter and deliciously nourishing recipes we’ll share hints and tips that you can use every day to help integrate the ayurvedic approach into your daily routine.


At the start and close of the day we’ll set and empower our intention, our sankalpa, to give ourselves a gift that will go on giving. Our guided focus, enhanced by the presence of group energy, will deepen and enrich our experience and initiate new neural connections to anchor the shared practices.


From the day, you can expect to:

  • feel deeply nurtured and loved—by yourself, in the company of like-minded others
  • learn a range of valuable techniques, attitudes and recipes to add to daily life that enhance your feelings of self-worth 
  • fill your cup so you have an flowing abundance of love to care for others
