Dru Yoga research

Dru Yoga combines ancient yogic wisdom with accessible therapeutic practices that have been explored in research into stress, back care, emotional wellbeing and workplace health

Research has been studied for

Stress resilience

Dru Yoga research has explored the effects of flowing movement, breathwork and relaxation on stress, mood and resilience. Workplace studies found improvements in perceived stress, calmness and confidence under pressure.

Back care

Dru Yoga has been studied in relation to back pain, body tension and musculoskeletal wellbeing. Its therapeutic approach includes safe movement, core stability, alignment and relaxation to support greater ease in the body.

Emotional wellbeing

Research and practitioner surveys have explored Dru Yoga’s effects on mood, emotional balance and mental wellbeing. Participants reported greater composure, confidence, serenity and ability to handle emotions.

Research into Dru Yoga

Research into the benefits of Dru Yoga has been conducted at Bangor University in the UK, including one of the first randomised controlled trials into Dru Yoga. In the study, employees took part in a six-week Dru Yoga programme, with researchers measuring changes in mood states and positive psychological attitudes before and after the programme.

The results suggest that Dru Yoga can support stress resilience, emotional wellbeing, energy, confidence and physical ease, alongside its wider benefits for everyday health and quality of life.

Yoga for workplace wellbeing

Dru Yoga has also been explored in workplace settings, where accessible movement, breathwork and relaxation can support stress management, energy, mood and physical ease.

These findings reflect Dru’s practical approach: simple, adaptable practices that people can use in daily life to support resilience, wellbeing and a greater sense of balance.
