True North is a 3-day yoga and meditation retreat designed to help you realign with your authentic direction and set powerful intentions for 2026.

Just as the North Star remains constant, guiding travellers through the night, Dru helps you to find the place of inner stillness that lies within, to guide and navigate your way forward.

This retreat invites you to tune into that inner compass and, like the eagle soaring high, to rise above old patterns, gain perspective, and see your path with fresh eyes.

Create the space to listen deeply to your heart and chart a course that honours your highest aspirations.

Where

The retreat will be held at the beautiful Maitripa Centre — a unique interfaith retreat centre originally founded on Tibetan Buddhist values. It is surrounded by 53 acres of lush forest in the Yarra Valley. The centre is simple and imbued with spiritual charm.

Arrival time is from 2.30pm AEDT Friday, January 23rd, departing after lunch Monday Jan 26th.

What to expect

Across 3 days, you’ll be guided through a rich and balanced program including:

• Yoga: You'll come away knowing postures and a special Dru yoga sequence, Garuda Namaskar, to release the old, clarify vision and embody new beginnings

  
  

• Meditation and pranayama: Profound practices in the Gompa each morning to go deeply within, awaken and balance for the day

  
  

• Visioning and goal setting: Create an intention for the year ahead with a Sankalpa to align mind and spirit, setting your compass to true North

  
  

• Healing & renewal: Sound healing, pranayama, yoga nidra and relaxation to harmonise and restore on a deep cellular level
  

• Nature immersion: Walks in the forest, star-gazing and silent contemplation to hear the wisdom of nature and inner self
  

• Creative expression: Making a mandala, working together with fun and creativity, to unite, create harmony and peace for self and beyond

  
  

• Dru sound: Immerse in the joy of kirtan and singing bhajans to expand your heart to the essence of the divine
  

• Connection: Time to connect personally with Dru Senior Teachers, old friends and new friends, to bond and connect with like-minded souls

There will be an opportunity to have a complimentary one-on-one meeting with one of the senior Dru Yoga teachers.

Accommodation and meals

The retreat includes 3 nights’ accommodation with choice of your own room or a shared room. Enjoy delicious, wholesome vegetarian meals made with love you can feel in every cell of your being.

Full cost

Single room: $1,400

Twin room: $2,520 ($1,260 pp - a saving of 10%)

Triple room: $3,360 ($1,120 pp- a saving of 20%)

Single room: $1,250

Twin room: $2,250 ($1,125 pp - a saving of 10%)

Triple room: $3,000 ($1,000 pp - a saving of 20%)

To book

With any of the above options, you'll pay a registration fee and then be sent a link to pay the remaining amount (in 3 or 4 instalments) before January 15th. Eg.

Early Bird single room: $1,250 ($250 rego + $1,000)

Early Bird twin room: $2,250 ($330 rego + $1920)

Early Bird triple room: $3000 ($450 rego + $2250)

If booking a twin or triple room, you are booking the whole room for you and your friend/s. One person will do the booking for the other guest/s.

Cancellation Policy

Participants who withdraw up to one month prior to the start date may receive a full refund or may transfer their payment to another course or event, or to the purchase of Dru products. Participants who withdraw from an event up to 7 days before the start date may receive a 50% refund or may transfer 50% of their payment to another course or event, or to the purchase of Dru products. In the event of cancellation within 7 days or withdrawal once an event has begun Dru Australasia will not provide a refund or transfer.
