Sue Cleaver
New Zealand Regional Manager
New Zealand
In 2000, I attended a yoga conference in Nelson, New Zealand, where I was first introduced to Dru.
The wisdom and energy of Dru resonated deeply with me, setting me on a life-changing transformational journey.
This passion led me to Australia, where I immersed myself in the Dru community as often as I could, learning from incredible Dru Elders and embracing the profound teachings.
Inspired by this experience, I envisioned bringing Dru to Aotearoa, and with the quiet support of Dru Elders, this vision became a reality. Today, as the Regional Manager of Dru in New Zealand, I take great joy in witnessing individuals awaken to their inner strength and wisdom through Dru’s ancient practices.

Our Dru Aotearoa community has grown to around 40 dedicated graduates, all committed to fostering connection, growth, and wellbeing.
We are initiating a structure that is both nurturing and sustaining so we can flourish into the fiuture. We embrace the Māori value of ‘manaakitanga’—a deep community responsibility to care for, honour, and respect one another.
This beautifully aligns with Dru’s mission for peace, ensuring that through kindness, love, and respect, we can all discover the profound peace within ourselves.
